Silver Spinner Ring

This brand-new (much promised and awaited!) class is set at a reduced introductory price while we refine the timings and layout.
Come along and learn how to saw, solder, form and texture your own silver spinner ring from scratch!
In this workshop, you will create a wide silver band in your choice of finishing textures, add some skinny spinning rings and shape to create your very own spinner ring!
Beginning with a demonstration, you will be shown how to make, clean and texture a wide silver band. Talking through the instructions and various information and tips regarding the materials you are working with, and introducing a range of tools and a handheld blowtorch which you will go on to use yourself!
We will start by sizing your chosen finger and calculating and measuring the silver sheet needed to create it. We will then saw and shape the ring ready to solder. Once soldered we will clean the rings and form them into a true ring shape, and add your chosen texture.
We will go on to create 2 or 3 textured skinny rings which will be the spinners, before shaping the wide band to create the finished spinner ring.
Once fully formed, we will clean and polish the rings, ready to wear home that day.
The perfect class for an individual or a group of friends to come and learn, socialise and most importantly, make some jewellery to take home!
All materials and silver will be included.
The workshop will run for around 5.5 hours but it can vary.

Please note, that this class will need 4 people to run. If the class is under-subscribed, the studio reserves the right to reschedule. You will be notified at least 4 days before the class if the class cannot run, and will have the option to be refunded in this instance.
