Alana comes from a background rich in art and craft. studying both textile art and jewellery design helped shape her natural affinity for differing materials, creating work with depth and character.
Since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art with First class honors, Alana fulfilled a role as Designer in Residence at Duncan of jordanstone college of art and design, exhibiting her degree show collection ‘Mothers Cupboards’ in London, Glasgow and Dundee.
currently running a bustling art centre as well as her own jewellery business, Alana leads workshops and hosts talks on her practice, inspiring others with her unique approach to design process and the use of opposing materials.
Working from her bright studio and workshop in the centre of the seaside town of St-Andrews, Alana welcomes bespoke commissions and ventures.
classes can also be privately booked for groups, and also tutoring for those with additional support needs or for outreach workshops.
