East Nook Studio is an independent jewellery and craft studio based in St Andrews and run by multi-disciplinary designer Alana.
Here she makes, sells and teaches Silver Jewellery, Ceramics and Crafts to all ages and abilities.
East Nook studio offers a wide range of classes for all ages and abilities, from Silver Jewellery to Ceramics and crafts. Whether you are looking for a new hobby, to learn new skills or freshen up on old ones, or maybe just to do something fun and create a memory, we have something for everyone!
Our workshops generally run during weekday evenings or daytime on weekends. We also cater for private parties, supply outreach and work with community groups. Just get in touch to organise a workshop tailormade for you.
Our class numbers are kept small to allow each student personalised one to one support during their session, and the chance to socialise with other members of the class.
East Nook Studio was founded by Alana in 2014 after teaching outreach workshops with Craft Scotland’s Meet your maker project and within Duncan of Jordanstone University and Dumfries and Galloway Art College. As demand for the classes increased, she soon outgrew her workshop and opened the central malt barn studio to deliver classes and parties there.
From a background rich in Art and Craft, Alana studied Textiles before embracing Jewellery and Ceramics.
Since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art with First class honours, and fulfilling a role as Designer in Residence, she exhibited her degree show collection ‘Mothers Cupboards’ in London, Glasgow and Dundee.
Now working and teaching from her historic malt barn studio and workshop in the heart of the seaside town of St Andrews, Scotland, Alana welcomes bespoke commissions, ventures and collaborations.

Edenberry Collection
Precious metal and Gemstones
Working mainly in silver, but sometimes in gold and gemstones, Edenberry focuses on textures that capture light and character. Coastal landscapes with its foliage, rocks, sand dunes and rockpools inspire this simple and timeless collection.
Classes
Alana teaches a range of silver jewellery making classes for beginners, as well as hosting private workshops and parties and catering for a variety of crafts on demand.
Isla Collection
Fine porcelain and silver
Inspired by the coast, East Nook Studio brings seaside colours and textures home in the form of bright and quirky jewellery.
Where vibrant colours pop from coast beaten pastels, the Isla collection captures sea smoothed and weathered textures in fine porcelain and printed silver - Encompassing the Isles.
