Gemstone Stacking Rings
£115 £95
Suitable for both beginners and those who have previously attended jewellery classes.
Learn how to saw, solder, form, texture and set your own silver stacking rings and add a gemstone setting.
In this workshop, you will create a set of three textured silver skinny rings that can be stacked together or worn separately, one of which we will add a gemstone bezel setting.
Beginning with a demonstration, you will be shown how to make, clean and texture a silver ring; talking through the instructions and various information and tips regarding the materials you are working with and introducing a range of tools and a handheld blowtorch which you will go on to use yourself!
We will start by sizing your chosen fingers, calculating, and measuring the wire needed to create it. We will then saw and shape the rings ready to solder. Once soldered we will clean the rings and form them into a true ring shape and add your chosen hammered texture.
Deviating from the original stacking rings class, here you will solder a pre-made bezel setting to your chosen ring. You can pick a stone from our cabochon collection and where available, you may have the option to upgrade your stone at an additional cost. Once fully formed and textured, we will scrub and polish the rings, ready to wear home that evening.
The perfect class for an individual or a group of friends to come and learn, socialise and most importantly, to make some jewellery to take home!
All materials, including silver will be included.
The workshop will run for around 5 hours including a quick break for lunch, but it can vary.
